We price by volume, not by the hour. You'll know the cost before we start. All prices include GST.

How our pricing works

  • We provide a clear quote before booking
  • A $300 booking fee secures your appointment
  • The remaining balance is invoiced after completion
  • Payment terms: 30 days from invoice date

Minimum Job Charge: $300 (incl. GST)

This covers our truck and trailer, loading, responsible disposal fees at Northland facilities, and travel within central Whangārei — even for small jobs.

Every job includes:

  • Labour and loading
  • Transport using our 4WD and trailer
  • Disposal at approved Northland facilities
  • Recycling and donation where possible
  • Basic sweep-up after loading

Standard Rubbish Removal Loads

Small Load / Single Item

From $300

One to a few items, or a very small clear-out.

Examples:

  • Single large item (sofa, fridge, washing machine)
  • 2-3 pieces of furniture
  • A few boxes and bags of household items
  • Small corner clear-out

Minimum charge: $300 (incl. GST)

Quarter Trailer Load

$400–$500

About ¼ of our trailer filled.

Examples:

  • Small room clear-out (office desk, chair, filing cabinet, boxes)
  • Corner of garage (garden tools, old sporting equipment, a few items)
  • 3-5 pieces of furniture
  • Small bedroom (single bed, side table, small wardrobe)

Typical weight: 300–400kg

Booking fee: $300 to secure appointment

Balance: $100–$200 invoiced after completion

Half Trailer Load

$700–$900

About ½ of our trailer filled.

Examples:

  • Full bedroom furniture and belongings (bed, mattress, dresser, wardrobe, boxes)
  • Half a garage clear-out
  • Lounge suite (3-seater sofa + 2 chairs)
  • Spare room with furniture and multiple boxes
  • Kitchen appliances and cupboard contents

Typical weight: 500–700kg

Booking fee: $300 to secure appointment

Balance: $400–$600 invoiced after completion

Full Trailer Load

$1,200–$1,600

One fully packed trailer load.

Examples:

  • Large lounge suite + dining furniture
  • Full garage corner or heavily packed area
  • 2-3 rooms worth of furniture and boxes
  • Bedroom furniture + lounge furniture combined
  • Major household declutter from multiple rooms

Typical weight: 700–1,000kg

Booking fee: $300 to secure appointment

Balance: $900–$1,300 invoiced after completion

Note: Full house clear-outs, complete garages, or multi-room projects typically require 2 or more trailer loads. We'll give you an accurate quote based on photos or a free walk-through.

Multiple Loads

For larger jobs requiring 2+ trailer loads:

  • Full house clear-outs
  • Complete garage clear-outs (floor to ceiling)
  • Multi-room estate clearances
  • Whole property cleanouts

We provide patient, respectful downsizing support for Northland seniors and their families.

Includes:

  • Calm walk-through and planning session
  • Help sorting what stays, what donates, and what goes
  • Removal over one or multiple days as needed
  • Donation coordination with Whangārei charities
  • Recycling of appropriate materials

For families clearing a property after bereavement or sale.

Full property clearance handled with care and discretion throughout Northland.

Includes:

  • Clear plan discussed before work begins
  • Important or sensitive items carefully set aside
  • Full removal, recycling, and donation
  • Property cleared and ready for next steps (sale, handover, or new occupants)

Travel Fees

Pricing above includes central Whangārei and nearby suburbs (Kamo, Onerahi, Tikipunga, Maunu, Riverside, Raumanga, Kensington, Morningside).

Outer, rural, or coastal Northland areas may include a simple travel fee, confirmed upfront.

Disposal Costs Explained

Some items cost significantly more to dispose of at Northland facilities. If these are present, we'll always explain this before we start.

Items with additional disposal fees:

  • Whiteware (fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers)
  • TVs, monitors, and some electronics
  • Printers and certain e-waste
  • Gas bottles
  • Fluorescent tubes
  • Tyres beyond the first five per load
  • Loads containing a large amount of polystyrene

We prioritise reuse, donation, and recycling to reduce landfill wherever possible.

Items We Can't Remove

For safety and regulatory reasons, we're unable to remove:

  • Asbestos or suspected asbestos
  • Large quantities of chemicals, fuels, oils, or solvents
  • Explosives, ammunition, or firearms
  • Medical or biohazard waste
  • Certain industrial or pressurised gas cylinders

How to Get an Accurate Quote

For most jobs:

Call or message with a description and photos. We'll provide a clear price.

For larger downsizing or estate jobs:

We suggest a free walk-through to quote accurately and discuss the plan.

What helps us quote:

  • Photos of items or space to clear
  • Your suburb or location in Northland
  • Any special access or timing needs

Once you accept our quote:

  • We'll send you a $300 booking fee invoice via Stripe (card or bank transfer)
  • Once paid, your appointment is secured in our schedule
  • After the job is complete, we'll invoice the remaining balance
  • Payment terms: 30 days from invoice date
